Fritz 12 Activation
Fritz 12 is activated using a serial number. After entering it
you have to register the program on the Internet. In the application
menu there is an option called "Activation". If
you are using Windows XP please read the next chapter in
this text.
After selecting this function "Activate" you get the
following dialog:
If a serial number is not already present in the text boxes type
the number that is printed on the cover of the user manual. Make
sure that both "Application" and "Engine" are checked.
The serial number can be used to install the program on a maximum
of three computers. If you want to install the program on a new
computer, or you want to re-install your operating system, you should
first deactivate the current registration online.
The reason for this is the hardware recognition. During the registration
the program sends information about the user's system configuration
to the server. The deactivation is carried out by the option "Deactivate".
This increases the number of remaining installations by one, and
the program can be re-installed on a different system configuration.
If you want to carry on using the program after changing the system
configuration you also have to deactivate and re-activate the program.

The following dialog will appear:
You must uncheck the box ""Protect my computer and data
from unauthorized program activity" and click "OK". Now you can
insert the Serial number and some security characters.
Make sure that both "Application" and "Engine" are
checked!
